Little By Little

On a cold and misty night
The winds and waves stood still,
Suddenly the warmth was gone,
My bones began to chill.

I wrestled with my thoughts,
Though the air was far too strong,
Teasing me with tiny bursts,
It sang it's victory song.

Watching kings turns to dust,
Youth is mine alone,
Each and every living thing,
Will witness what I've known.

Borrow all you wish,
Sadly it can't be saved,
Watch them wisk away,
Memories freshly paved.

Looking toward the Eastern Sky,
The sun appeared to set,
A vision of voiceless beauty,
Unprotected by it's net.

It's speech was cut with laughter,
Singing bold and true,
No matter how hard the fight,
TIME will master you.
